Now that the winter blues are slowly but surely dwindling down, here's trying again for a co-moderator for Supernatural-verse alternate historical fantasy set in 15th century England! There is now an actual premise and a character list in the journal. The F.A.Q., rules and applications still need drafting, but I'm hoping this would be enough to generate some fellow modly interests.
Some non-modly matters that need to be addressed:
Where would you, as a player, like to see the focus on?
→ Lancastrians vs. Yorkists (the War of the Roses, general court intrigue)
→ Supernatural: Epic Scale (hunters + angels vs. demons)
→ Supernatural: the People (independent hunters + hunters in the Brotherhood or the Order just fighting the good fight)
→ Other
In terms of historical accuracy...
→ Alternate history from 1460 onwards
→ Time manipulation (i.e. angels went back in time, sort of like how they sent Dean forward in S5E04 The End)
→ Loosely base on history, with room for creative interpretation
→ Be a stickler for historical accuracy
Type of game?
→ PB
→ Group PSL
Are you happy with the year 1460 as our starting point?
→ Yes, keep it that way
→ No, I have a better idea and will specify in the comments

I know I have been pretty much much silent for the last month. Demands of a large family at the holidays and the limits of my disability have kept me too busy to do much else. I have read every email and comment and adore them. I loved the snowflakes. I know I owe folks a lot of replies. I promise to work on catching up as soon as the holidays are over.
I will also give a bigger WIP update then, since several have asked what our next story posted will be. The original fiction of focus at the moment is the second Faewolf book. There are two fan fiction works that are in edits now -- a Snarry one with aveeno_baby and a Drarry one with broken_anchor. I am guessing that the Snarry will finish first though editing has been slow with so many real world distractions right now.
I haven't kept up with the fests, but I have to say that I have been blown away by some of the brilliant works I have had the chance to read, especially over at ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif) hd_holidays. I'll try to pull a rec up soon.
On my dmatkins site, I am also planning to start adding book reviews in the new year. I sometimes give fan fiction recs here, but thought it would be fun to add original fiction (and maybe even non-fiction) reviews over there. uncledark and I often read the same books but have very different perspectives, so we we may do some of them as dual-reviews. I'd love to know if folks are interested in the reviews. Feel free to friend that journal (or go to the website www.dmatkins.net).
My family celebrates Winter Solstice as our major winter holiday. We honour the longest night of the year by gathering with friends in family through-out the night as a symbol of unity in times of darkness. We greet the sun at dawn with songs. So if you wonder what I am doing this Sunday night, know I am surrounded by people who love me and wishing you all well even as you sleep. So Happy Solstice, Christmas, Hanukkah, and joy in every day that reminds us we are all part of life's adventure.

Hello! My name is Taylor and for a while now I've been thinking about how much fun it would be to play in a game based off of the television series Eastwick. I've never modded a game, and wasn't really looking to. I searched around in hopes of finding an active Eastwick game already in play but had no such luck. So now I've come to pitch the idea and see if anyone would be interested in picking it up and modding the game! I'd be willing to co-mod if its necessary. I'm not too good with HTML and since it'd be my first, I fear I would only make things harder. But I'm very much looking forward to playing in this game if anyone is interested in the idea!

I need to find more 100x100 icon brushes, because I have a Marie/Allelujah icon that just won't be perfect until I've found the right brush. -_- Will have to save this for my next day off unless I magically get up early enough to actually do thorough hardcore searching.
(for all of you curious, I do not ship exclusively male/male.. I also do not ship exclusively male/female. I just ship whatever it is that I damn well feel like *I do like me some Alle/Halle selfcest too though.. mmmmhmmmm good)
Also, I adore myself some girl/girl (which means that I'll probably be getting into that new yuri anime sooner rather then later.) |

I'm sort of x-posting here. Already posted in pbads but we all know how fast that scrolls, so I'm taking a stab here.
I want to take up modding again, but I need some moral support and advice. Basically, this character was in a comm with wonderful potential and a unique premise, called projectcherub, but the mods disappeared before the game even got started. I love the idea of this character, the game, and all the other characters that were in the comm.
So I'd like to reboot this game.
I commented/messaged everyone who was in the old game, hoping to ping their email inboxes.
I want this to be about international conspiracy, involving covert ops, elite military groups (so that I can work the plot arc around the existing child soldier characters), espionage, etc. My vague idea so far is based on the current Middle Eastern conflicts, without going into too much real detail. The premise is political conspiracy around the world. Players will be members of a secret society propagating war and keeping the war going. Potential character groups would be politicians & public officials, law enforcement & military, military agents, investors & front organizations, and journalists & media CEOs. This would allow players to choose any country to reside in, with a few limitations based on population and involvement.
I'm afraid people will be turned off because it looks complicated. I don't think it is, but I need outside eyes! |

Enough that I made an icon of her. I'm rather intriqued however by the way the series is going, it's not as macabre as the previous season.. this may just be a false start or it may be the light at the end of the tunnel, not too sure. Needless to say, I really like Rika too (and well all considering.. Also, Poland is so cute. I've been rereading strips and really, he's just as dumb as a rock but it's endearing. I bet that unless monitored, he forgets his pants all the time. He doesn't strike me as someone who thinks that pants is necessary, what with all that skirt wearing. |
